GrandTrinity Posted October 16, 2005 To do this, I find that it is impossible for me to keep my spine staight at the same time. I find that this is due to tight psoas pulling my spine down. To heal this, I plan to not do tao yin, as I have had relatively little success with floor-yoga, bu instead practice the eagle stance (kneeling on one foot, other is bent, hands push up and back) and various standing postures that have my knees raised, steching the psoas...perhaps also some be breathed. This should help open the hips. Â Lately I have been demaning myself to SEE results. Thus, I now realize, from reading the book YOGA ALCHEMY that the spine IS the central channel in Indian yoga and if you dont have that, the governor aligned in the all, there can be no congress of heaven and man.
